The Rams are coming into this game on a 7-game win streak, the longest win streak in the history of the program was a 8-game win streak in the 1978-1979 season. They looked to tie that today vs Davidson.

Quarter 1

Chanell Williams got the scoring started for the Rams with an easy lay-up sneaking right through the Davidson defense. Davidson and Rhode Island both had Steller defensive performances early in the 1st. Marie-Paule Foppossi had a tremendous block in the 1st, that led to a blocking foul on Davidson. Rhode Island missed some opportunities to open the game up, playing sloppy basketball towards the end of the quarter.

Rhode Island hustled on defense diving on the floor for loose balls. Chanell Williams had a nice drive to the basket with around 2 minutes left in the Quarter. Dez Elmore hit the deck and was slow to get up. The officials on the floor called a foul on Elmore, but by the looks of hit she got elbowed. The officials called a double technical and both Davidson and Rhode Island got shots at the line.
