The Boston Bruins are the hottest team in the NHL at the moment and it seems like nothing can stop them. The Bruins are 11-0-4 in their last 15 games and last night they added an exclamation point to this run by beating the Tampa Bay Lighting. The Lighting is currently top of the league in points and was the hottest team racking up 11 straight wins. Tampa ran into a buzzing Bruins team that is clicking at exactly the right time. With this win over Tampa and the stretch that they have gone on without their leading goal scorer David Pastrnak. Now guys are all getting healthy at the right time and with the additions of Coyle and Johansson the Bruins are now a very scary team to face off against.

The main reason the B’s are rolling right now is their goaltending. Tuukka Rask is yet to lose a game in regulation in 2019 and we are heading into March. Halak ain’t no scrub as a number two though, putting up a 17-9-4 record this year. The offense has also found itself in this run aswell which is surprising with Pasternak gone, but the Bruins are getting help everywhere. Krejei has been stepping up all year producing whether it was on the first line when Bergeron was injured or recently igniting Debrusk who is finally getting some puck luck and putting the puck in the back of the net. The deadline deals are only going to add depth for the run that is coming. The top line has been dealing with someone being out all year but when they are all healthy it is arguably the best line in hockey. Also, Krug is having an unreal year playing with Carlo and now that Chucky Bright Lights and Big Z are back that’s one good looking back four.

As we look ahead into March and another 15 games in the next 31 days, the Bruins hope to stay healthy and get stronger as they approach the final push. No one cares about the points the Lighting got in March, it is all about getting hot at the right time.

P.S.- Bruins are second in total points since the hiring of Bruce Cassidy
